Infosys Defends Land Sale Allegations
Infosys is a big company that sold some land to another company called Puravankara.
Some people said Infosys got the land at a cheap price from the government and shouldn't have sold it.
But Infosys said the land was bought at normal prices and the sale was fair.
A politician named K V R Krishnamurthy said Infosys should give the land and money back to the government.
Infosys says they did everything right and the sale was legal.
Infosys sold 53.5 acres of land to Puravankara for Rs 250 crore.
Former CFO Mohan Das Pai clarified the land was bought at market rates, not subsidized by the government.
Congress MP K V R Krishnamurthy accused Infosys of selling government-subsidized land for commercial gain.
Pai emphasized that the sale was a legitimate transaction following legal and ethical norms.
Krishnamurthy suggested Infosys should return the land and proceeds to the Karnataka government.
