Iran Suspends Visa-Free Entry for Indians Amid Trafficking Concerns
Iran is no longer allowing Indian tourists to enter without a visa.
This is because some Indians were tricked into going to Iran with promises of jobs, then kidnapped and held for ransom.
Iran wants to stop this from happening again, so they're making Indians get a visa before they can visit.
Iran has suspended visa-free entry for Indian nationals due to trafficking cases.
The suspension is effective from November 22, 2025.
Indian travelers will now need a visa for both entry and transit through Iran.
The decision aims to stop the misuse of the visa waiver by criminal networks.
