DVAC Names K N Nehru in Rs 1,020 Crore Case

The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption has opened a corruption case involving former minister K N Nehru.

Investigators call him the main accused.

They say his brothers and associates helped collect money from contractors.

The alleged payments were described as “party funds.”

Officials say the money may have been linked to government contracts.

The accused allegedly influenced how some tenders were awarded.

Two former DMK legislators and some officials were also named.

The case is based partly on an Enforcement Directorate report.

Investigators also cited WhatsApp messages and receipts found on a phone.

These are allegations in a registered case, not a court finding of guilt.
