Delhi excise rules revised for churches
The Delhi government has changed some rules to help churches in the city.
Before, churches could only get 91 litres of special wine for their religious ceremonies each year.
Now, they can get up to 4,000 litres.
This wine is used in special church services.
The Bishop of Delhi can buy this wine from any approved place in India, but he needs permission from the Excise Commissioner.
This change also helps factories that use a special kind of alcohol for making things.
Delhi government revised excise rules to increase sacramental wine limit for churches.
Bishop of Delhi can now purchase up to 4,000 litres annually, up from 91 litres.
Wine can be sourced from any authorized distillery in India with Excise Commissioner's approval.
