Kolkata Metro Increases Services on Multiple Lines
The Kolkata Metro is adding more trains and extending operating hours on Green Line-1, Green Line-2, and Purple Line, starting August 11.
This means more trains, especially during rush hours.
Green Line-1 will have increased train frequency and extended hours, operating from 6:35 am to 10 pm, Monday through Saturday.
Green Line-2 and Purple Line will also see an increase in train services.
The aim is to improve service for commuters.
Kolkata Metro is increasing train services on Green Line-1, Green Line-2, and Purple Line.
Green Line-1 will operate 106 trains (53 UP + 53 DN) from Monday to Saturday.
Green Line-1 service hours will extend to 6:35 am to 10 pm from Monday to Saturday.
Green Line-2 will operate 134 trains (67 UP + 67 DN) daily.
Purple Line will operate 80 trains (40 UP + 40 DN) from Monday to Friday, with extended service hours.
