Satish Gujral's Iconic Delhi Home Opens to Public
Satish Gujral was a famous artist and architect who built a special home in Delhi.
This home was not just where he lived, but also a place where he showed his art and did his work.
After he passed away, his family decided to open this home to the public.
They fixed it up to look like it did when he was alive.
Now, people can visit this home to see his art, learn about his life, and have conversations just like they did with Satish.
The home will also be a place for The Gujral Foundation to help new artists and designers.
Satish Gujral's home in Lajpat Nagar, designed by Raj Rewal, has been opened to the public as a cultural hub.
The home will house The Gujral Foundation, a nonprofit supporting art, design, culture, and architecture.
The opening coincided with Satish Gujral's centenary year and his birthday on December 25.
A retrospective exhibition on Satish Gujral's architectural practice will open at the National Gallery of Modern Art on January 15.
The home has been meticulously restored by Mohit Gujral to its original design, featuring exposed brickwork and forgotten ceramic works by Kiran Gujral.
