Top-10 firms add Rs 1.54 lakh crore in market value

Last week, five of India's top-10 most valuable companies added a total of Rs 1.54 lakh crore to their market value.

The biggest gainer was TCS, which added Rs 72,072.3 crore after reporting good earnings and saying they expect better business in the next quarter.

Other companies like Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finance, and State Bank of India also saw their values go up.

However, five other companies, including Larsen & Toubro, LIC, Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank, and Hindustan Unilever, saw their market values decrease.

Despite these changes, the overall ranking of the top-10 companies stayed the same.

The stock market also did well, with the Sensex and Nifty indices going up.
