Google News App Adds Audio Briefing
Google has added a new feature called Audio Briefing to its News app.
This feature lets you listen to news headlines instead of reading them.
It's great for when you're busy, like driving or doing chores.
The audio is about 10 to 15 minutes long and has two AI hosts talking about different news stories.
You can control the playback with buttons to pause, rewind, or skip to the next topic.
Right now, it's only available on Android phones, but it will come to iPhones soon.
Google says the audio is made by AI, so it might make some mistakes.
Google News app introduces Audio Briefing feature for hands-free news consumption.
Feature includes a new 'Listen' tab with audio player interface and playback controls.
Audio briefs are 10-15 minutes long with AI hosts discussing multiple news stories.
Currently rolling out to Android users, with iOS availability expected soon.
Google acknowledges potential AI-generated errors in the briefings.
