Bhopal-Agra Expressway Approved: Four-Lane Corridor to Link MP with NCR

The government has approved building a brand new, super-fast highway between the cities of Bhopal and Agra.

Right now, driving between these two cities takes about 12 to 13 hours.

When the new road is finished, the same trip will take only about seven hours.

The expressway will have four lanes and cost about ₹15,000 crore, which is a very large amount of money.

It will go through places called Vidisha and Sagar, and then connect near Mahoba and Jhansi.

The road will help farmers and traders because it will be faster and cheaper to move goods to big markets.

It will also give remote areas in Bundelkhand an easier way to reach major cities.

The new road will have safety systems, rest areas, places to charge electric cars, and emergency medical help along the way.

It is also expected to help tourism and bring Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh closer together.

The government hopes to finish building the expressway within three years.
