Owaisi Urges Telangana Voters to Guard Their Ballots
Asaduddin Owaisi asked people in Telangana to check whether their names are correctly listed as voters.
The Election Commission of India has published a draft voter list.
People can check and correct their details before the September deadline.
Anyone who receives a notice should attend the required hearing or send a representative.
People whose names are missing should submit Form 6 to a Booth Level Officer.
Owaisi said his party office in Darussalam can help people with this process.
He also criticized an Allahabad High Court decision about a student wanting to wear a hijab with a school uniform.
The court dismissed the student’s petition.
Owaisi said the decision harms religious rights and that a related case is still pending in the Supreme Court.
Asaduddin Owaisi urged Telangana citizens to verify and correct their electoral-roll entries during the Special Intensive Revision process.
The Election Commission of India released a draft electoral roll on August 17, with corrections allowed before the September deadline.
Citizens receiving notices should attend Electoral Registration Officer hearings or send representatives if they cannot appear personally.
People missing from the draft roll or without enumeration forms should submit Form 6 to a Booth Level Officer.
Owaisi criticized an Allahabad High Court hijab ruling, saying it violates constitutional protections and noting a related Sabarimala case remains pending in the Supreme Court.
