Railways Upgrade Scheme Adds New Train Classes for Travelers
Imagine the train has different levels of comfort, like comfy seats and special viewing domes!
The Indian Railways has a system to give passengers a free upgrade to a better class if there's space.
They've updated this system to include the newest types of train cars, like the ones with big windows.
If you bought a full-price ticket, you might get bumped up to a better seat, like from a regular sleeper to a slightly nicer one.
However, you can't jump up more than two levels, and some of the super fancy seats are only for people right below that class.
This change is meant to make sure trains aren't empty and to give more options to travelers.
Indian Railways updated its passenger upgradation scheme.
New train classes like Vistadome and Third AC Economy are now included.
The scheme upgrades full-fare paying passengers to higher classes if space is available.
Upgrades are limited to two classes higher, with restrictions on certain premium classes.
The changes aim to optimize seat occupancy and offer more flexibility.
