May wins Brewers debut; Chourio, Sánchez homer in 5-2 win
The Milwaukee Brewers played a baseball game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
A new pitcher named Dustin May was playing his very first game for the Brewers.
He pitched very well and only let the other team score two runs.
Jackson Chourio hit a home run, and so did Gary Sánchez.
A home run is when the batter hits the ball far away and runs around all the bases to score.
The Brewers scored five runs and the Pirates scored two.
That means the Brewers won the game.
The Brewers have now won their last three games against the Pirates.
The game happened on a Thursday afternoon in Milwaukee.
Dustin May, acquired from the St. Louis Cardinals in a trade deadline deal, won his Milwaukee debut with a quality start, allowing two runs and three hits in six innings.
Jackson Chourio hit a solo home run in the first inning, his 15th of the season, to give the Brewers an early lead.
Gary Sánchez homered and Brice Turang added a run-scoring single in the fifth as Milwaukee regained the lead.
A sixth-inning leadoff double followed by a run-scoring single extended the Brewers' lead to 5-2.
The Brewers (72-43) won the final three games of the series after losing the opener, with relievers DL Hall, Aaron Ashby and Chad Patrick (fifth save) closing out the win.
