Railway to Install Elephant Detection System in Chakradharpur
The South Eastern Railway is installing a new system to protect elephants from getting hit by trains.
This system uses special sensors and AI to detect elephants near the tracks.
When an elephant is detected, the system alerts train officials to slow down or stop the train.
The system was tested recently, and it will be installed along certain sections of the railway.
It works by sensing elephants from about 150-200 meters away and is expected to cost about 15 crore rupees.
This should help keep both elephants and people safe.
