Wangchuk to End Fast if Leaders Meet
Sonam Wangchuk, a climate activist, has been on a hunger strike to demand reforms in the education sector and to protest against the NEET paper leak.
His wife, Gitanjali Angmo, said he will end his fast if political leaders meet him and assure to raise the issue in the Monsoon Session of Parliament.
Wangchuk is currently in Safdarjung Hospital, where doctors say his health is stable but requires constant monitoring.
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) is planning a march to Parliament on 20 July to support Wangchuk's demands.
However, Delhi Police have not granted permission for the march and have imposed prohibitory orders, warning against unauthorized gatherings.
