YES Bank gets Rs 345 crore tax refund
YES Bank got some good news!
They received a big refund of Rs 345 crore from the tax department.
This happened because the bank won an appeal against some old tax orders.
Part of this money will be added to their profits.
Additionally, YES Bank also got Rs 189 crore from a trust, which is part of a deal they made earlier to sell some of their bad loans.
Both of these amounts are quite large, so the bank had to tell the stock market about them.
YES Bank received a Rs 345 crore income-tax refund, including interest, on December 31, 2025.
The refund followed appeals against earlier tax orders for FY17 (AY 2016–17).
Part of the refund will be booked in the bank’s profit and loss account and is material under SEBI disclosure norms.
YES Bank also received Rs 189 crore from a single trust in the Security Receipts Portfolio.
The additional funds received are more than the materiality threshold as prescribed under the amended Listing Regulations.
