Poland Asks EU to Probe TikTok
Poland has asked the European Union to investigate TikTok because of some videos on the platform.
These videos were made by artificial intelligence and showed young women dressed in Polish colors.
They said Poland should leave the EU.
Poland thinks these videos are fake news from Russia.
The Polish government says TikTok is not doing enough to stop this kind of content.
TikTok says they have removed the videos that break their rules.
The EU has rules for big social media companies to stop harmful content.
If they don't follow these rules, they can be fined a lot of money.
Poland has asked the European Commission to investigate TikTok for hosting AI-generated content.
The content included videos calling for Poland to leave the EU, which Poland believes is Russian disinformation.
The Polish government claims TikTok is not complying with its obligations under the Digital Services Act.
TikTok has removed the content in question and stated it complies with its rules.
