NCBC Submits Pending Annual Reports for 2022-2024 to President
Imagine a group that makes sure certain communities, called Other Backward Classes (OBCs), are treated fairly.
This group, the NCBC, has to write a report every year.
They just gave their reports for two years to the President.
These reports explain how well the government is helping these communities.
The NCBC checks if the rules are working to protect and help them.
They also suggest ways to make things better.
These reports won't be shared with everyone until they are presented in Parliament, along with what the government is doing about them.
It takes time to gather all the information and get everything ready.
The National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) submitted its Annual Reports for 2022–23 and 2023–24.
The reports were presented to President Droupadi Murmu by NCBC officials.
The NCBC is constitutionally mandated to review safeguards for Other Backward Classes (OBCs).
The reports will be made public after being laid in Parliament, alongside Action-Taken Reports.
Delays in report compilation are attributed to data collection and ATR preparation.
