Pune Metro Relocates Power Line for Swargate–Katraj Project
In Pune, India, a big electricity line that carries a lot of power needs to be moved so that a new underground train line can be built.
This train line, called the Swargate–Katraj Metro corridor, will have three new underground stations.
Moving the electricity line is an important step before the train line can be built.
The people in charge are making sure that the electricity won't be turned off while they do this work.
They are also moving similar lines for another train project in a place called Chinchwad.
Maha-Metro is relocating a 132 kV power transmission line near Balaji Nagar for the Swargate–Katraj underground Metro project.
The project involves coordination with MSETCL and includes engineering, installation, testing, and commissioning of the modified transmission line.
Three underground stations are planned: Balaji Nagar, Market Yard, and Katraj, extending the Pune Metro's north-south route.
The relocation is necessary to provide vertical clearance for the underground station and related infrastructure near Bharati Vidyapeeth Hospital.
MSETCL is ensuring the work is done in phases to avoid power supply disruptions and maintain safety standards.
