CID Unveils AI System for Biometric Data Collection
The police are now using a new AI system to collect information about people who get arrested.
This system takes pictures from many angles, scans fingerprints and eyes, and sometimes even collects DNA samples.
All this information is stored on a special computer network, like a big online library, so police all over India can use it.
The new system will help police find suspects even if they change how they look because the AI can recognize them.
This information will be kept safe for a very long time.
The CID introduced an AI-based data measurement system in Pune.
The system collects biometric data including photos, fingerprints, and iris scans.
DNA samples will also be collected depending on the nature of the crime.
Data will be stored on the NIC's cloud server.
The system will help track suspects by matching their features.
