New Aadhaar App Soon: Update Details via Smartphone
The Indian government is creating a new app for Aadhaar cardholders.
This app will let you update your details like name, address, and birth date on your phone.
You will still need to go to an enrollment center for fingerprints or eye scans.
The app will also get information from government sources automatically, like your birth certificate or electricity bill, to make updates easier.
The goal is to make updating your Aadhaar information quick and easy, reducing the need to visit physical centers.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is developing an Aadhaar mobile app.
The app will allow users to update personal details.
Updates include name, address, and date of birth.
Biometric verification at centers will still be required.
The app is expected to launch by the end of the year.
