Telangana Approves Gudemdoddi Reservoir Expansion With Solar Power Project
The Telangana government approved a plan to make the Gudemdoddi reservoir much larger.
The reservoir is in Wanaparthy.
Its storage capacity will grow from 1.19 TMC to 15 TMC.
The project will also connect the reservoir to solar power generation.
It will use a pumped storage system.
The government approved Rs.180 crore for the work.
Most of this money will be used to buy 1,100 acres of additional land.
The rest will pay a consultant to study the land, rocks, water, and reservoir conditions.
