Chandigarh to see new mayor, smart parking, and e-buses
Chandigarh is getting a new mayor in January.
The city will also introduce smart parking with digital payments, a new ring road to reduce traffic, and an all-electric bus fleet.
Additionally, power distribution will be improved with monthly billing and new smart meters.
These changes aim to make the city more efficient and easier to live in.
Chandigarh will elect a new Mayor in January 2024 for a one-year term.
The smart parking project will unify 89 paid parking sites with FASTag-based digital payments.
The Zirakpur ring road project, stalled for 15 years, will be completed within two years.
