Karnataka Probe Finds Rs 84.63 Crore Valmiki Corporation Transfer
Investigators are looking into money that was allegedly taken from the Valmiki Corporation.
They say Rs 84.63 crore was transferred illegally.
Officials have recovered most of that money in cash, gold and other assets.
About Rs 4.94 crore is still being searched for.
Several people connected to the corporation and a bank have been identified in the investigation.
Investigators also seized cars and other property.
The opposition wants former minister B Nagendra to resign.
The government says he was not named as an accused in the chargesheets and that the investigation is still continuing.
A preliminary investigation found that Rs 84.63 crore was allegedly transferred illegally through collusion involving corporation and bank officials.
Authorities have recovered Rs 79.68 crore in cash, gold and other assets, while Rs 4.94 crore remains to be traced.
Investigators seized Rs 16.83 crore in cash, 16.2546 grams of gold, jewellery and several vehicles.
The CID’s SIT filed preliminary and additional chargesheets on August 5, 2024, and November 10, 2025, respectively.
Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara said former minister B Nagendra was not named as an accused in either chargesheet.
