Stock Market Falls Fourth Session Amid Geopolitical Tensions
The stock market in India has been falling for four days in a row.
This is because there are big problems between the US and Iran, which has made the price of oil go up to $101 per barrel.
When oil prices go up, it can make the Indian economy struggle.
The main stock indexes, Sensex and Nifty, have dropped a lot.
Many stocks hit their lowest prices in a year, and a lot of investors are selling their shares.
Experts say this is because of the uncertainty and high volatility in the market.
The rupee, India's currency, has also gotten a bit weaker.
All of this is making the stock market very unstable.
Sensex fell 600 points to 75,788 and Nifty fell 170 points to 23,700.
Crude oil prices hit $101 per barrel due to US-Iran tensions.
Market cap of BSE-listed firms fell by Rs 3.29 lakh crore.
Top losers included IndiGo, Bharti Airtel, and Infosys.
Foreign and domestic institutional investors sold equities worth Rs 2765 crore and Rs 2708 crore respectively.
