Plyometrics and HIIT Differ in Training Method and Purpose

Plyometrics and HIIT Differ in Training Method and Purpose

Plyometrics and HIIT are not the same thing.

Plyometrics means doing quick, powerful movements, such as jumps.

HIIT means taking turns between hard exercise and rest or easier movement.

You can do plyometric jumps as part of a HIIT workout.

HIIT can also use activities such as cycling or walking.

Coach Kailash Menon says beginners should first learn basic movements and build strength.

This helps them prepare before trying fast, high-impact exercises.

The goal of exercise should be to get fitter and stronger, not just to burn calories.
