Students Compete in National Moot Court on Discrimination
Imagine students acting like lawyers in a pretend court!
Schools from all over India came together to argue about a tricky problem: whether a rule that excludes certain people from getting a job is fair.
Students had to do lots of research and think carefully.
They learned how to speak clearly and make strong arguments.
The students found it challenging but exciting, and they learned important skills like how to research, think, and argue well.
In the end, one school won by showing how well they understood the law.
Students from 34 schools competed in a national moot court competition.
The competition was held at The Future Foundation School in Kolkata.
The moot problem focused on indirect discrimination in a public recruitment notification.
Delhi Public School, Ruby Park, won the competition.
Judges evaluated students on articulation, research, and interpretation of law.
