Pentagon urges faster weapons production as Iran war strains stockpiles

The United States is at war with Iran, and the Pentagon wants more weapons made quickly.

The Pentagon is the part of the US government that takes care of the military.

It asked the companies that build weapons to make them faster and deliver them sooner.

A leader named Steve Feinberg told these companies they had 21 days to send in their plans.

The reason is that America might not have enough missiles and other weapons for the war.

But another Pentagon person said the US still has enough weapons for now.

A newspaper called The Washington Post wrote that President Trump was angry at his war leader, Pete Hegseth, because weapons were running low.

President Trump said that story is fake and not true.

He said he is very happy with the job Hegseth is doing.

Other White House and Pentagon leaders also said the story never happened.
