Allcargo Unit Plans ₹1,000 Crore Dankuni Warehousing Project
Transindia Real Estate, part of the Allcargo Group, is building a large warehouse project in Dankuni near Calcutta.
It has bought about 45 acres of land for the project.
The whole development could involve around ₹1,000 crore in investment.
The warehouses could cover 10–12 lakh square feet.
The money is expected to go toward the land, basic infrastructure, and equipment for the warehouses.
E-commerce, logistics and industrial companies may use the facility.
It is expected to be ready within 24 months.
This will be the company’s first investment in Calcutta and its entry into eastern India.
Transindia Real Estate has acquired about 45 acres in Dankuni near Calcutta for its first investment in the city.
The project could involve around ₹1,000 crore in total investment and provide 10–12 lakh square feet of warehousing capacity.
The investment estimate includes about ₹100 crore for land, ₹400 crore for basic infrastructure and ₹500 crore for warehouse infrastructure and handling equipment.
The facility is expected to become operational within 24 months and target e-commerce, logistics and industrial users.
The project will add to Transindia Real Estate’s approximately 60 lakh square feet of operational warehousing capacity across India.
