Rupee drops 1 paisa against US dollar

Rupee drops 1 paisa against US dollar

The Indian rupee started the day stronger but ended up a tiny bit weaker against the US dollar.

It opened at 89.53 and even reached a high of 89.45, but by the end of the day, it was at 89.68, which is just 1 paisa less than the day before.

This happened because while the stock market in India did well, the price of oil went up, and there wasn't much progress in talks between the US and India about trade.

The US dollar also wasn't very strong, which helped the rupee a bit.

Meanwhile, metal stocks in the Nifty Metal index kept going up for the fifth day in a row, with NMDC being the biggest winner.

The overall stock market had a mixed day, with some parts doing well and others not so much.
