Columbus Blue Jackets Fire Coach Dean Evason

The Columbus Blue Jackets, a hockey team, have decided to fire their coach, Dean Evason.

They are not doing well this season and are in last place.

The team's boss, Don Waddell, said they needed a change.

They also fired an assistant coach named Steve McCarthy.

To replace Evason, they hired Rick Bowness, who is 71 years old and has a lot of experience coaching hockey.

Bowness used to coach another team, the Winnipeg Jets, and he even took a different team to the big championship game a few years ago.

The team hopes Bowness can help them do better.
