Keonjhar Forest Division Launches Bamboo Reforestation Project
Imagine the forest needs more food for its animals!
To help, people are planting lots of bamboo.
Bamboo is like a yummy snack for elephants and other animals.
They are planting bamboo seeds in a special place called Atei reserve forest.
They made a lot of seed balls to plant.
They are protecting the new bamboo so it can grow big and strong.
This should help the animals have enough food and stay away from people's homes.
This project is a test to see if it will work well, and they hope other forests can do the same thing!
Keonjhar forest division initiated a bamboo reforestation project.
The project aims to improve wildlife habitat and reduce human-elephant conflict.
80,000 bamboo seed balls have been prepared for the initial phase.
The project was inaugurated in collaboration with Brahmakumari Ishwariya Viswavidyalaya.
