NDMC Launches Tree Planting Drive to Enhance Delhi's Green Cover
The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is starting a big tree planting project during the monsoon season.
They plan to plant over 2,000 trees and almost 500,000 shrubs to replace damaged trees and add more green areas.
The planting will start in July, focusing on areas like Connaught Place and Nehru Park, and will continue after the monsoon.
They will also trim and fix trees to prevent them from falling in the rain.
NDMC also organized an event for World Environment Day to raise awareness about plastic pollution.
NDMC will begin a tree planting drive in early July.
The initiative aims to plant 2,039 trees and 4.82 lakh shrubs.
Planting locations include Tolstoy Marg and Connaught Place.
