Mideast Fighting Alerts Eurozone Rate-Setters

There's been new fighting in the Middle East, which is making it harder for oil and gas to move through a very important waterway called the Strait of Hormuz.

This is making oil prices go up, which could make things more expensive in Europe.

The European Central Bank (ECB) is worried about this because higher oil prices can cause something called inflation, which means things cost more money.

The ECB already raised interest rates a little bit in June because of this.

Now, they're not sure if they should raise rates again or wait to see what happens.

Some people think they should raise rates to stop inflation, while others think they should wait.

The ECB is meeting on Thursday to decide what to do.
