Jindal Steel Expands Angul Capacity to 9 MTPA
Jindal Steel has made a big change at its steel factory in Angul!
They've added a new furnace that makes a lot more steel.
This new addition means they can now make more steel each year, from 6 million tons to 9 million tons.
The company hopes to make 12 million tons soon!
This helps India become more self-sufficient in making its own steel, which is used to build important things like roads and cars.
The company's boss said this new capacity helps strengthen India's ability to rely on its own capacity.
Jindal Steel commissioned a new Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) converter at its Angul plant.
The new BOF adds 3 MTPA of crude steelmaking capacity.
Total capacity at Angul has increased from 6 MTPA to 9 MTPA.
