Vigilance Awareness Week: ONGC and ACB Call for Citizen Participation Against Corruption
Imagine a special week dedicated to making sure everyone is honest and fair.
In India, two groups, ONGC and the ACB, held events to remind people why being honest is super important.
ONGC had a big walk with their employees and students, saying that watching out for bad behavior is something everyone should do together.
The ACB organized a bike ride, explaining that corruption, which means dishonesty for personal gain, stops a country from growing.
They encouraged everyone to speak up if they see something wrong and even gave a phone number to call.
These events happened on a Sunday, and the message is that fighting dishonesty is a job for all citizens, not just a few people.
ONGC Kakinada organized a Walkathon on Sunday for Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 with the theme 'Vigilance—our shared responsibility'.
The Walkathon involved ONGC employees, their children, and students from local colleges, aiming to promote transparency and integrity.
ACB Director General Atul Singh flagged off a cycle rally in Vijayawada as part of the same awareness week, emphasizing that corruption hinders national progress.
The ACB urged citizens to report corruption via their helpline number 1064 and highlighted that vigilance is a shared responsibility.
Similar events, including cycle rallies in Visakhapatnam and Tirupati, were held simultaneously to spread awareness about ethical conduct and corruption elimination.
