National Meet on Livestock Statistics Begins in Amaravati
A big meeting started in Amaravati to talk about animals like cows, buffaloes, and sheep.
Important people from all over India are there to discuss how to count and take care of these animals better.
Andhra Pradesh is very important for this because it has special kinds of animals like Ongole bulls and Punganur cattle.
The meeting is to make sure the government knows how many animals there are and how to help the people who take care of them.
They want to make sure the animals are healthy and the people who own them can make money from them.
The meeting will last two days and many important organizations are involved.
The Technical Committee of Direction (TCD) on Livestock Statistics began a two-day meeting in Amaravati on Thursday.
Senior policymakers, statisticians, and sectoral experts from all states and union territories are attending the meeting.
Andhra Pradesh is highlighted for its significant role in India’s livestock sector, with notable breeds like Ongole bulls and Punganur cattle.
The meeting aims to strengthen data-driven planning for the livestock economy, with a focus on accurate surveys and digital agriculture frameworks.
