Nashik Road Diversions Raise ST Bus Fares for Commuters

Nashik Road Diversions Raise ST Bus Fares for Commuters

Road construction in Nashik has forced buses to take longer routes.

The construction is connected to preparations for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela.

Because buses travel farther, passengers must pay more.

The increase is usually ₹10 to ₹15 per ticket.

Buses to Dhule, Nandurbar and Jalgaon returned to the Mela and Thakkar bus stands on September 11.

Dhule buses now travel 4.1 extra kilometres on each round trip.

Buses to Pune and Ahilyanagar also travel about 3.1 extra kilometres.

Transport officials have told drivers and conductors about the changed routes.
