Assam Congress Extends Ticket Deadline Amid Rush

The Congress party in Assam has extended the deadline for people to apply for party tickets to January 28.

This decision came after a huge number of people, including current lawmakers and senior leaders, applied for tickets.

On Monday alone, about 300 people applied, and over 600 have applied so far.

The party headquarters in Guwahati was very crowded with people lining up to submit their applications.

The Leader of Opposition, Debabrata Saikia, said they will contest all 126 seats in the Assembly to challenge the BJP's policies.

The rush of applicants is expected to continue in the coming days.
