MMC Head Opposes Staff Deployment for Election Duties

The head of the Margao Municipal Council (MMC) is upset because the government is making the MMC's employees work on election duties.

He thinks this is a problem because it takes away staff from their regular jobs at the municipality, like helping with trade licenses and managing money.

The MMC head believes the District Collector, who is in charge of elections, doesn't have the right to make municipal staff do election work.

He's going to write a letter to the people in charge to try and stop this practice so the MMC can continue its regular work properly.
