Bengaluru, Chennai top Indian cities for women: TCWI report
A report called Top Cities for Women in India (TCWI) by Avtar Group says Bengaluru and Chennai are the best cities in India for women.
They looked at 125 cities and checked how safe and good they are for women to live and work.
Bengaluru got the highest score, but Chennai was the best for safety and things like health and education.
Pune, Hyderabad, and Mumbai are also in the top five.
Delhi, which used to be in the top ten, is now 11th.
Tamil Nadu has the most cities in the top 25, and the southern part of India is the best for women overall.
The report says cities need to do more than just offer jobs; they need to be safe and have good services for women to live and work well.
Bengaluru and Chennai ranked first and second in the Top Cities for Women in India (TCWI) report by Avtar Group.
Bengaluru scored 53.29 in City Inclusion Score (CIS), while Chennai scored 49.86.
Chennai topped in social inclusion, including safety, public services, and health, while Bengaluru ranked third in social inclusion.
Pune, Hyderabad, and Mumbai completed the top five cities in the report.
Delhi dropped out of the top ten, ranking 11th, while Gurugram improved to sixth place.
