In 2025, there were about 312,665 vehicles registered for taxi services, which is a big increase from 114,535 in 2022.
Companies like Hyundai and Vinfast are introducing new cars specifically for taxis.
Maruti Suzuki already has a big share of this market.
The growth is also because more people are using cab apps like Uber and Ola.
