India and US to Finalize Jet Engine Deal by March
India is teaming up with a US company called GE Aerospace to build jet engines.
These engines, the F-414, will be used in India's new fighter planes.
They are planning to make them together in India.
This plan was talked about when India's leader visited the US in 2023.
It took a while to get the deal finalized because they had to agree on how to share advanced technology.
The goal is to boost India's ability to build its own military equipment.
HAL is set to finalize a deal with GE Aerospace by March.
The deal involves joint production of F-414 jet engines in India.
These engines will power the next generation of Indian combat aircraft.
The plan was announced during PM Modi's 2023 visit to Washington.
