Ian Bishop Questions Roston Chase's Form
Roston Chase, the captain of the West Indies Test team, has been having a tough time with both batting and bowling.
A famous cricket commentator named Ian Bishop talked about how surprised he is that Chase, who used to score a lot of runs, is now struggling.
Bishop said that the West Indies team has about five or six months to decide if Chase should keep playing.
He also mentioned that the team needs to help young batters grow and improve.
Chase has not been doing well with the bat, scoring very few runs, and his bowling has not been great either.
Bishop thinks the team needs to focus on developing young players to get better results.
Roston Chase had a poor 2025, scoring only 221 runs in eight Tests with an average of 13.81.
His bowling average in 2025 was 70.66, with just nine wickets in eight Tests.
Ian Bishop questioned Chase's form and the West Indies' decision to continue him as captain.
Bishop suggested that the team has five or six months to decide Chase's future in the side.
Bishop also highlighted the need for developing young batters in the West Indies team.
