TGPCB Demonstrates Mobile Waste Vehicle in Hyderabad
The Telangana Pollution Control Board (TGPCB) watched a company called Switcheko show off a special truck that can process different kinds of waste right where it's collected.
This truck can handle things like plastic, cardboard, and even food waste.
Important people like Minister Konda Surekha were there and they liked the idea so much that they asked officials to make plans to use these trucks all over the state.
The truck can do things like squish, cut, and recycle the waste, which means it doesn't have to be taken to big waste centers.
This helps make waste management easier and more efficient.
TGPCB oversaw a demonstration of Switcheko's mobile waste-processing vehicle in Sanathnagar, Hyderabad.
The vehicle can handle multiple waste types including plastic, cardboard, e-waste, sanitary waste, textiles, and food waste.
Key officials, including Minister Konda Surekha, were present and asked for plans to implement the vehicle across Telangana.
The vehicle performs on-site operations like baling, shredding, and recycling, enabling immediate waste processing.
TGPCB officers reviewed the system's potential to support decentralized waste management.
