Odisha flood situation grim, over 2.7 lakh affected

Odisha is a big state in India where lots of rain has made rivers overflow.

The overflowing water has flooded many villages and towns.

More than 270,000 people have been affected by the floodwater.

Many people had to leave their homes to stay safe.

Almost 100,000 people are now staying in special shelters.

In the shelters, they get cooked food, clean drinking water, and places to sleep.

Brave rescue teams are helping people and bringing them to safety.

Doctors and medical teams are also there to help anyone who is sick or hurt.

The flood water is starting to go down in some places, but heavy rain is still falling.

The government is watching closely and working to help everyone get back to normal life.
