KDMT Launches Free Bus Service for Kalyan School Students
Kalyan city’s bus company, KDMT, started a free bus route for kids going to two local schools.
The buses help families that can’t afford regular bus or rickshaw rides.
A local politician, Rameez Maniyar, asked the bus company to help.
The schools and a social worker said the new buses will make it easier for children to get to school.
The goal is to make sure no child misses school because of transport costs.
KDMT launched a free bus service for students of Shankarrao Jhunjarrao Primary School and Aruna Asaf Ali Urdu School.
The service aims to relieve economically weaker families in Kon Gaon who previously paid for bus and autorickshaw fares.
The initiative was driven by NCP corporator Rameez Maniyar, who highlighted transportation challenges for disadvantaged students.
School officials and local social workers welcomed the decision, expecting improved attendance and easier commutes.
KDMT officials said the objective is to ensure no child is deprived of education due to transportation difficulties.
