Jitendra Singh Says Hindi Promotion Should Expand Opportunities
Jitendra Singh said people are more likely to learn Hindi when it helps them find jobs and grow at work.
He said Hindi should not feel forced on anyone.
Government Hindi should be clear and easy to understand.
India has many languages, so officials should consider what people in different regions need.
In specialised subjects, students should still be able to learn important knowledge even if Hindi terms or books are not available.
Singh said Hindi explanations can be used while keeping original technical terms when needed.
He also said technology is helping make government translations better.
Suggestions from the committee will be considered or sent to other ministries.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh said Hindi promotion should create employment and professional opportunities, not feel imposed.
He called for simple, inclusive Hindi while respecting India's linguistic diversity and everyday communication needs.
Singh cautioned that insisting exclusively on Hindi in specialised fields should not obstruct access to knowledge.
He said official Hindi should be easy to understand and that using it in every communication may not be practical with non-Hindi-speaking states.
