Vinesh Phogat and WFI clash over Nirmala Boora’s exclusion
Vinesh Phogat, a famous wrestler and politician, said that Nirmala Boora, another wrestler, was not allowed to compete in a big competition in Haryana.
Vinesh thinks this was unfair and that Boora should have been given a chance.
The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) said the issue is about rules and that Boora wanted to represent an organization not affiliated with them.
Both sides are arguing about what happened and who is right.
The matter is being reviewed by Haryana authorities.
Vinesh Phogat accused WFI of preventing Nirmala Boora from competing in national trials in Haryana.
Boora, a veteran wrestler and Haryana Police Inspector, was not allowed to participate without explanation.
WFI countered that Boora wanted to represent Haryana Police, which is not affiliated with WFI.
Vinesh argued that Boora's exclusion reflects systemic problems in Indian wrestling administration.
WFI described Vinesh's criticism as unnecessary and stated it has asked the state body to review the incident.
