Prayagraj CHCs to Offer Affordable Generic Medicines
Imagine getting your medicine at a much lower price!
That's what's happening in Prayagraj.
The government is opening pharmacies called Jan Aushadhi Kendras at all community health centers.
These pharmacies sell generic medicines, which are just as good as the expensive brand-name ones but cost much less.
So, people in Prayagraj can now get the medicine they need without spending as much money.
This is part of a bigger plan to make healthcare more affordable all over the state.
Jan Aushadhi Kendras are expanding to all CHCs in Prayagraj.
Generic medicines will be available at lower prices than branded ones.
Four CHCs already have operational PMJAKs, others opening this month.
The Kendras offer over 2000 generic medicines and surgical apparatus.
The initiative aims to provide affordable healthcare across the state.
