US Colonel Bravo Survives Nearly 50 Hours Behind Enemy Lines

A US Air Force colonel called Bravo was flying in a fighter jet over Iran.

The jet was hit by a missile, so Bravo and the pilot, Alpha, had to jump out.

They landed several miles apart.

Bravo’s parachute was damaged, and he was badly hurt when he reached the ground.

He moved away from the crash site and hid in the mountains.

Iranian forces were searching for him and came close to his hiding place.

US forces used aircraft, troops and intelligence teams to find and rescue him.

Bravo was brought out of Iran about 50 hours after the crash.

He called the rescue a powerful example of teamwork and the promise to leave no one behind.
